St. Louis Design Alliance has had the opportunity to design numerous schools and library settings. We have helped our clients renovate existing spaces as well as create new ones.

The breadth of our experience has given us the ability to produce designs that meet a variety of circumstances and market conditions.

We define our roles as architects as one of serving our clients.

  Confluence Preparatory Academy

St. Louis, MO

St. Louis Design Alliance transforms a former bank building into a contemporary high school for the Edison Schools of St. Louis. A state of the art gymnasium and stair tower was added to top of the building. The approach to the building was given a modern face lift but still respects the existing building style.

Confluence Academy - Old North Campus: Phase I, II, III

North St. Louis, MO

A turn-of-the century wood-framed commercial building with a mid-century addition has a new lease on life as an elementary charter school in Old North St. Louis. Formerly the Vietmeier Building, this structure is renovated in a three-phase Master Plan.

Confluence Academy - Walnut Park Campus

St. Louis, MO

St. Louis Design Alliance conceives and executes a three-phase master plan for Edison Schools in the former and long neglected Cardinal Ritter High School campus. Once the victim of vandalism, these 1950s 'Streamlined Modern' buildings have experienced a dramatic resurrection, including an addition to the existing annex that creates a positive outdoor courtyard from a previously chaotic space.

  Buswell Library

Creve Coeur, MO

This 39,000 square feet addition is wrapped around an existing library facility, creating a new facade and campus focal point. Stacks and administrative space is enlarged, along with the addition of meeting rooms, faculty offices, reading rooms and a lecture hall.
